Culture Collection

Petri dishes, agar, silk, anti-bacterial thread, assorted dried vegetation, asparagus fern, lightbox, various bacteria grown from swabs of soil, human saliva and sweat

Various samples are collected from a human subject in an outdoor environment and from their immediate surroundings, the samples are then cultured on agar to create a bacterial merging of the two. The resulting formation of bacterial growth creates a living record of the bygone scenario, in which subject and surroundings blur into one another.
